Dr. Walt Lowe named Chairman at UTMS

Dr. Walter Lowe has been named the new Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and the Chief of Orthopedics at Memorial Hermann - TMC. He takes office on August 15, 2009. In his new role, Dr. Lowe will serve as the Medical Director of Orthopaedic Services at Memorial Hermann – Texas Medical Center and the Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital. Following a national search, Dean Guiseppe Colasurda officially announced Dr. Lowe’s selection on July 16th.

Dr. Lowe will continue serving as Medical Director of the Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine Institute as well as Head Team Physician for the Houston Texans, the University of Houston, and the Houston Rockets.

Our clinical office locations will not change. We will continue to conduct clinic in our Sugar Land Office on Mondays and in the Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine Institute located in the Memorial Hermann Medical Plaza on Tuesdays.
